Not from books or DVDs.

than how did the first guy learn???

I disagree on that one. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd bet my life I'm not. I'm assuming it would be similar to learning an internal martial art.

teachers learn from books... some things are best self taught

Really? No teachers in big U.S cities? I cannot believe that. WOW. Gotta love 'em Canadians.

Why don't you people get a real teacher rather than a DVD?
deepeeeh (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
not if you live in Taiwan where a visit to the dr. is cheaper than a cup of coffee.

I'm no expert, but I think it's best to have a teacher. You're a B.C.magician? Now I getcha.

Actually, yes! Otherwise I would not continue to waste at least an hour a day practicing. :-) I would gladly love to study with a teacher, but there are none in Pittsburgh, PA that I can find. At least any that are real Qi Gong practitioners and not charlatans. The closest teacher with any talent is in Toronto that I know of. Sifu Wing Chueng.

Have you ever had ANY verifiable, measurable changes/effects from learning by DVD? If not, maybe a teacher is the answer rather than DVD. |
