Yes, PhunkyFaraoh. I could I forget the great Stamley Banks on Bass. My thanks to you and apologies to him. Phil Upchurch, also from Chicago, played with this group and was a complete musician. After one of their Benson tours, Jorge invited drummer Alejo Poveda (Chicago's Chevere) and I to jam at Phil's home studio in those days and the four of us had a blast. They are all greatly loved and missed.

Its still being made but we have little to no venues,tv shows etc...to perform nowadays.I do agree asafar as the media destroying what we know as good music though.

Unfortunately for the music world, Dalto passed away in 1987 at a very early age. Yet in his short time with us, this Argentinean wizard, who was as comfortable playing his native Tango, an Afro-Cuban montuno, Jazz and funk, left a legacy for present and future generations. His feel on the piano was unique as evidenced in Benson's first hit(This Mascarade). His favorite arranger was Quincy Jones and he loved Eddie Palmieri's tumbao and Piazzola's tangos and these influences are also evident.
