While I utterly despise Obama's plans for America, I hope that he will prove me wrong. I realize that I am asking for the impossible, Obama is going to further weaken this nation and drive it farther away from what the founding fathers intended it to be.

Cant wait to see the change, even barack said folks wont like it so hoping for some positive ones has been dealt a death blow. The presidency stuff is just one dude passing the torch to the other dudes who are whispered in their ears (as to what they are instructed to do).I'll try to remain gulible (I mean optimistic)

Care to elaborate? Just being old enough to remember Volcker doesn't really tell me about your expertise on the subject.Volcker brought an end to the catastrophe of the 70s. Sure it meant a sever recession, but that wasn't his fault; the damage had already been done. Had he done nothing, the situation would've been worse.He surely wasn't perfect. There is no such thing as a perfet central banker. But compared to the others he kept things quite well under control.
